NC junior DE gets Georgia offer
The University of Georgia has recruited the state of North Carolina quite well in recent years and they have located a 2010 defensive end that they will pursue. The Dawgs offered Gabe King and that gives him a total of four.
"I have offers now from Duke, North Carolina, North Carolina State, and Georgia," said King. "I got all four of those offers one week after another and Georgia was the last one I got. I got it after our fourth game earlier this year."
The three in-state schools obviously knew about King, but he was very surprised by the interest UGA showed and then by the offer.
"Georgia was probably sending me about one letter a week, but then Coach [Mike] Bobo stopped by the school, so I think that helped me get the offer. I got the offer like a few days later. I hadn't talked to a coach and I did not know they had seen my film, but they offered me after stopping by my school."
The 6-foot-5, 245 pound defensive end out of Greensboro (N.C.) Page does not know a lot about Georgia yet, but he plans to learn more about them in the future.
