The nations top WR taking first official
According to a family member, the nation's No. 2 player will be making his first official visit this weekend.
Deatrick Randle, brother of five-star wide receiver Reuben Randle confirmed to Rivals.com that the 6-foot-3, 195 pound prospect will be visiting Oklahoma University this weekend.
While Randle has visited LSU previously this season for an unofficial visit, the Norman trip will be the first official visit on his schedule.
The Sooners will be taking on the No. 2 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders this weekend in a game that carries BCS Championship implications.
Randle, ranked as the top player in the state of Louisiana, has been rumored in the past to be favoring schools such as LSU, Alabama and Miami but Randle himself has been very tight-lipped about the recruiting process and has not personally tipped his hand to any one program.
The Sooners have gone into hostile territory in the past in attempts at landing high profile wide receivers. Last season, Oklahoma hosted five-star wide receiver Julio Jones out of Foley High School before losing him to his in-state school of Alabama.
Prior to the trip, Randle will be quarterbacking his Bastrop (La.) High School team in its second round playoff matchup against New Orleans (La.) Helen Cox. To date, Randle has led his team to a 9-1 record and a No. 61 ranking in the RivalsHigh 100.
