Jones understands UGA's recruiting

One of the hottest prospects in the Peach State is junior wide receiver [/db]Tai-ler Jones[/db]. The talented wideout just completed a big time junior campaign and recruiting has taken off over the past few weeks.

"The last two offers are from Miami and Stanford," said Jones. "I am up to nine offers now. Miami actually offered me as a corner and I think that is great. I will play either side of the ball and do whatever a college wants me to do. Stanford is a program coming up and getting a degree from them would set me up for life. I am interested in both of those schools."

The Hurricanes and Cardinal join Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Ole Miss, N.C. State, South Carolina, and West Virginia on Jones' offer list. He is one away from 10 and he visited one school over the weekend that could be on that offer list down the road.

"I visited Georgia Saturday for the Georgia Tech game and I talked to Coach [Mike] Bobo, Coach [John] Eason, and Coach [Bryan] McClendon. They talked to me about our (Gainesville lost to Carver 28-14) game Friday night first and then talked to me about how they were glad to see me there."

"They let me know that they had not forgotten about me and that they are dealing with the 2009 class and then they will really move on to the 2010 class. It was good talking to them again."

Every prospect would love to get an offer from the school they visit, but that just does not happen. The 6-foot-0, 172 pound receiver has an offer from one in-state school in Georgia Tech, but he has no problem with how UGA is recruiting him.
