Chizik visits with top DB commit
New Auburn head coach Gene Chizik didn't waste any time.
After being formally announced as the 26th head coach at Auburn Monday and spending approximately two hours doing interviews, Chizik was making his first rounds on the recruiting trail.
His first stop was Prattville (Ala.) High School, just north of Montgomery, home to the three-time defending 6A state champions. The Lions have a handful of Division I prospects including Alex Page and Zach Brownell, but none with offers yet from Auburn.
Chizik also made an in-home visit with one of the Tigers' top verbal commitments in the 2009 class, four-star defensive back Reggie Taylor of Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Ga.
