Cayuga teammates enjoy trip to A&M

On Saturday afternoon rumors were swirling around College Station that Cayuga running back Traylon Shead had committed to Texas A&M on his visit to A&M's first junior day of 2009. Shead and Cayuga athlete Malcome Kennedy had been invitated along with many of the top juniors in the state to attend the event. Shead and Kennedy came down on a bus to A&M along with their teammates on the Cauyuga basketball team so that the teammates could take in the A&M campus and attend the A&M-Oklahoma basketball game in the afternoon while Shead and Kennedy learned more about the A&M football program.

The visitors were treated to meetings with A&M coaches and support staff in the morning and the basketball game in the early afternoon. In fact, although most of the attendees left during the basketball game, the bus was still on the A&M campus late in the day, thus fueling speculation that something was in the works.

Shead has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Tulsa and Houston to go along with significant interest from Texas, Oklahoma State and TCU.
