Doctor talks about Oregon State visit

In early September, the Oregon State football coaches received word that Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington LB/RB Michael Doctor was committing to the Beavers. Doctor was committing sight unseen in large part because of the relationship he was building with the coaches.

Doctor had a marvelous season, which was topped off by his Hornets winning the State 5A State Championship, and Doctor being voted as the Tulsa World All-State Player of the Year, among many other honors.

On defense he tallied 130 tackles while on offense he rushed for 1,299 yards on only 154 carries. He led the entire state 5A division with 28 touchdowns, and because of the lopsided nature of many of the Hornet's games, Doctor played very sparingly.

"He's been an impact player on and off the field," said Hornet's Coach Antwain Jimmerson. "He's definitely special."

Four months after pledging to Oregon State, Doctor and his Mom made the trip to Corvallis for his official visit. What did Doctor think of Corvallis and will it still be his final destination come signing day?
