Spring position preview: Tight End

Warchant.com is getting its subscribers ready for the start of Florida State's 2009 Spring Practice with updates and previews on each position. The Seminole football team will take to the practice fields for the first time the week of March 2nd.

The position coach: James Coley, entering second year
at Florida State.



Frontrunner: Caz Piurowski


Class for 2009 season: Senior / Size: 6-7, 275 pounds.

2008 season: Started every game after missing the first three because of a suspension. Finished with 8 catches for 83 yards and 1 TD (Champs Bowl).




Top Contender: Ja'Baris Little


Class for 2009 season: Sophomore / Size: 6-4, 245 pounds.

2008 season: Played in 11 games and started one (NC State) but didn't see much meaningful playing time. Little did not record a catch in 2008.




Other contenders for significant action: RS-Freshman Bo Reliford Freshman (6-7/240).
