Beavs open spring camp ready to battle
Football is back after a three month hiatus, and what a glorious site it was. Granted, the guys were not in pads and it is only spring camp, but it felt good to watch the Beavers back in action, even if it was in the Truax Center.
Spring used to be a time of conditioning and letting the young athletes get some work in the system, but after winter conditioning, the Beavers looked ready to hit the field. The day started off with the usual special teams work and then each unit broke out for individual work.
Battles were already emerging all over the field and this was only day 1. With Lyle Moevao's arm in a sling, Sean Canfield took the bulk of the reps today. For only seeing limited action over the past year, Canfield looked good for the first day. I mean they weren't going deep or anything, but his throws looked crisp, his arm looked strong and he seemed to have a great deal of confidence.
