Carnell Lake talks to BB.c

If players are a good judge then UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel picked a winner in Carnell Lake to coach the Bruin corners. To a man, Lake is getting rave reviews. Even a couple of safeties chimed in with praise.

BruinBlitz.com was able to get a few moments with the Bruin great to talk to him a little about his first practice as cornerbacks coach for the Bruins.

BruinBlitz.com: Welcome back and how did it feel to be back on the field where a lot good things started for you?

Lake: "It was exciting. It brought back a lot of good memories for me. Being back here on the Bruin field where I played and practiced is truly neat to see the current Bruins play and we had a great practice today. It was exciting, guys were doing what we were asking them to do. There was a lot of energy and tempo. I liked it."

BruinBlitz.com: What did you think of the feistiness to the team today?

Lake: "Well you know UCLA, we want to make sure we protect ourselves and we're not injuring each other, but at the same time we want to see that UCLA has a little bite to them. That we're fighters and that it is a good way to start it off."
