Hawkeyes stop by to see Florida guard

With open scholarships available, the Iowa coaching staff is still looking to add to the 2009 recruiting class this spring. On Wednesday, they visited one potential prospect on their radar at point guard as assistant coach LaVall Jordan was in South Florida to see Vincent Williams.

The Iowa coaching staff has not yet offered Williams, who averaged 26 points and 6.2 assists per game last season, but plans to revisit that subject on his potential visit to Iowa City next week.

After things started slow in the recruiting process for Williams, they have really picked up this spring with interest from Georgia, Oklahoma, N.C. State, Charlotte, and Wichita State, among others. While he is still waiting for one of those schools to offer, this weekend he will make a visit to one of the top schools on his wish list, the Georgia Bulldogs.
