Opportunities abound for four-star corner

Four-star cornerback Garry Peters expected to get some attention and a handful of offers as he entered the recruiting process.

But the 6-foot-0, 173-pounder from Conyers, Ga., had no idea he would be sitting with close to 20 offers by the spring including some of the top programs in the country.

"I wasn't expecting all this attention at all," Peters said. "I thought I might only get five maximum. When they started coming in I was just like 'Thank God'. I remember one day that I got four in one day. It's a good spot to be in."

Some of the schools that have come calling are Mississippi State, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Maryland, Ole Miss, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Central Florida and East Carolina.

"Right now I think I have probably 20 offers," Peters said. "My favorite is Alabama, they are number one right now, Clemson is number two and everybody else is a close third."

There are several factors that have Peters praising the Crimson Tide.
