Bruins offer Floridian DT

The Bruins recently offered defensive tackle prospect Richard Ash (6-4, 270, 4.85) from Pahokee, Fla., he was excited about the west coast offer from UCLA, but this Floridian also has interest in UCLA's archrival, USC.

"I was happy that a west coast school (UCLA) really wanted me, even though I'm on the other side of the country," Ash said. "I'm going to try and visit both UCLA and USC."

"I know that both schools are big time programs and get their players into the league," Ash said. "Both schools get a lot of media coverage, too."

Ash was a significant part for a team that has won the state championship the last two seasons. He ended up earning second-team all-area honors as a junior after racking up 84 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks and one pick.
