Mason hits the road
It has already been a busy month for Georgia quarterback Hutson Mason and that is only going to continue in the coming weeks as he gets ready to make several more college visits. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Mason has been to camps at Alabama and Georgia and is leaving this week for a tour of six different schools.
"I'm flying out to Iowa and I'll be at their camp on Monday," said Mason. "Then I'm heading to Indiana and Purdue. After that, I fly to Raleigh, North Carolina, and I'm going to ECU, North Carolina, and N.C. State."
Last week, Mason picked up scholarship offers from Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan to go along with earlier ones from Iowa and Georgia Southern. He stays in touch weekly with the Iowa coaching staff, who was the first to offer him back in March, and is also talking to a number of other schools, including Alabama and Georgia, as he continues to get feedback on his camp performances.
Mason would like to make his college decision before the end of the summer if possible.
