Instate battle brewing for Morton WR

There is an instate battle brewing of sorts for Morton, Miss., wide receiver Terrance Taylor.

Not only are both Mississippi State and Ole Miss recruiting the 6-foot-1, 191-pounder they are also vying for his fan support as well. The lifelong Rebel fan is considering switching his allegiance after attending camp in Starkville.

"I used to be an Ole Miss fan," Taylor said. "But now it's between Ole Miss and Mississippi State. I've been going to Mississippi State a lot lately and I really like Mississippi State now. I love the atmosphere at Ole Miss. I would love to play up there. It's going to be tough if it comes down to both of those schools."

Taylor was one of the wideouts that caught the MSU staff's eye during camp last week. He feels that the Bulldogs are close to giving him his first scholarship offer.

"Mississippi State is looking at me real hard," Taylor said. "I think they are close to offering. I went to their three-day camp. I had a great camp and they called me back the next day and told me that all the coaches like me and they were ready to get me down there to play for them. He told me they wanted me to be a Bulldog."

During his time in Starkville, Taylor got a chance to build a relationship with State wide receivers coach Mark Hudspeth.
