Recruiting floodgates have opened

Last year, Florida State got off to its fastest ever start in recruiting. In fact, by mid-June the Seminoles had 14 early commitments.

By mid-June this year, FSU was sitting on a mere three. And since safety Chad Abrams pledged his services back March, the 'Noles had been on a three-month drought.

But on Monday, the floodgates opened.

In just a 24 hour period, the Seminoles doubled their commitments with pledges from defensive tackle Tavaris Barnes, wide receiver De'Joshua Johnson and defensive back Merrill Noel.
