Four-Star DT Talks Tennessee Camp

Regardless of what else a program's needs may be, defensive tackle prospects are always in high-demand.That's certainly the case in Knoxville where the Vols could stand to add some punch along the interior of the defensive front in the 2010 class. One prominent target involved in those efforts is Pahokee, Fla. lineman Richard Ash, who was on campus this past weekend to take part in Tennessee's camp.

Ash (6-foot-4, 263 pounds) looks the part of a potential disruptor in the trenches, and he's being recruited accordingly.

Tennessee has been pushing hard to get Ash's attention since the winter months, and got something of a return on those efforts when Ash joined many of his Pahokee teammates to travel to Knoxville for last weekend's camp.

The result of that trip, at least for now, seems to have the Vols on the verge of moving into serious contention for Ash.

Rivals.com rates Ash as a four-star prospect and the No. 18 defensive tackle in the nation.
