Noblin planning second visit to State
Sam Noblin ventured north from his home in Ocean Springs, Miss., to visit Mississippi State's camp.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback had a great time in Starkville and learned a few things in the process. He even earned an invitation back to the 'Under the Lights' camp at MSU in late July.
"I enjoyed the camp," Noblin said. "It was a three-day camp but I only got to workout during one of the afternoon sessions. I ended up staying and working out a little bit extra while some of the campers went to lunch. It was real good talking to all the coaches there. They were a lot of help and I had a great time."
The Bulldogs are one of several schools interested in Noblin along with UAB, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
"I talk to (Mississippi State) a good bit," Noblin said. "I talk to Coach (Les) Koenning a lot and I talked to Coach (Dan) Mullen last week. I'm planning on going back up on the 24th for their night session kind of like what they did at Florida."
Noblin is building a strong relationship with Mullen, who has a history of producing top talent under center such as Chris Leak and Tim Tebow while at Florida and Alex Smith at Utah.
