Beal scores 28 points in opener

The KC Prep/Price Chopper Invitational kicked off earlier today and didn't disappoint. While a number of prospects stood out during the first day, Bradley Beal was likely the most impressive performer. With a large number of college coaches in attendance, including staffers from KU, the No. 7 ranked player in the 2011 class exploded for 28 points. Hot start for Bradley Beal:

After somewhat of a slow start to the first half, Beal, the 6-foot-3, 170-pound shooting guard from Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis, Mo., was absolutely sensational in the closing seconds of the first half.
