New Jersey tight end still plans Purdue visit

A month ago, Barnegat, N.J., tight end Jarrett Darmstatter was trying to squeeze in a few late-summer visits so he could finalize his college selection before his senior season began. The 6-4, 241-pound prospect was not able to make all those trips, however, and updated his game plan for the process heading into the fall.

Barnegat does not open their season until Sept. 17, but Darmstatter said his team has looked good in practices thus far. He will play outside linebacker as well as tight end this fall for Barnegat. As a junior, Darmstatter caught 20 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns on offense and added 75 tackles on defense.
