SoCal speedster lands No. 2

Three-star athlete prospect De'Shawn Beck (5-10, 160, 4.4) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Jordan was one of the most impressive receivers we saw during the camp circuit this past spring and summer. It didn't matter who lined up against him, no one was able to freeze him at the line of scrimmage.

Jordan head coach, Elijah Asante has high expectations on his talented two-way speedster.

"De'Shawn is going to have a great senior season," Asante said. "He's the favorite to win the City Player of the Year.

"A whole bunch of schools are looking at him," Asante said. "USC linebacker coach, Ken Norton Jr. called to tell me they are looking at him. He has offers from Arizona and New Mexico State. He may have one from Washington, but I am not sure."
