Four-star Carmon has no leader

Gulf Coast Community College four-star defensive tackle James Carmon's leader throughout the summer was Mississippi State.

But recently the massive 6-foot-7, 370-pounder tabbed Ole Miss as the favorite for his services. But now it appears that no team is out in front.

"I am not saying that anybody is a leader right now," Carmon said. "Wherever I feel like I can fit in on my visits, that's where I'm going."

Carmon has already set up visits to Ole Miss and Penn State. He will visit Oxford on Oct. 10 when the Rebels host Alabama and will travel to Happy Valley on Nov. 7 for the Nittany Lions matchup with Ohio State.

Carmon has two dates in mind to make his official visit to Starkville. Depending on his schedule, he will either visit the Bulldogs this weekend for the LSU game or Oct. 24 against defending national champion Florida.

"Those are the three that I am planning on taking and I'm probably going to leave it at that," Carmon said. "I'm definitely going to take my visits. I can't just say I am going somewhere right now. I haven't even been anywhere yet. If they show me a good time and I feel at home, that's where I will be at."

So what happened to knock MSU from his top spot over the past few weeks?
