Taylor's Take: Westward bound
Rivals100 running back, and Florida Gators commitment, Kelvin Taylor is in Portland, Oregon this weekend taking part in Nike's The Opening football camp. The four-star rated running back has agreed to keep a daily diary for Inside the Gators.
The following is his second entry on Thursday night after a long day flying across country.
"It's been a long day. I left Florida at around 7:50 (a.m.) and flew to Atlanta and then from Atlanta straight to Portland. The flight from Atlanta was six hours straight. I had my headphones on the whole time listening to music and watched some ESPN. I flew out of West Palm Beach with [Glades Central cornerback] William Likely. I'm actually rooming with Derrick Henry, the running back from Yulee High School. I'm trying to make the best of this opportunity."
"We just got back from taking a tour of Nike. That place is awesome! We had Patrick Peterson, Joe Haden, Ray Rice, [Ndamukong] Suh, the rookie quarterback from Wisconsin who plays for the Seattle Seahawks [Russell Wilson] there with us. it was a great experience. Oh my gosh, they gave us some of the coolest gear. Nike has the best stuff out there and for them to even think of us enough to take care of us like that is a great thing. It's been a very good deal."
"I'm hanging out with all of the Florida Gator commitments and Derrick Henry. He's my main man. I wish I could get him to come to Florida with me. How sick would that backfield be? We're rooming together and I'm talking to him."
