Five-Star Challenge: They said it

MORE: Rivals100 | Rivals250 | RCS Headquarters | Five-Star Challenge roster

BALTIMORE -- Who are some of the coaches the prospects at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour respect the most? What do players like to do on game day? What other sports do they wish they played? We took an informal survey of players during Media Day at the Hilton Baltimore. Some of their answers may surprise you.
What is the No. 1 goal for your football career?
Taj Griffin is setting his football goals as high as he can.
Ultimately, I want to make it to the NFL, and make it to the Hall of Fame. I want to be the best of the best. That's the highest goal I can have.
-- Taj Griffin, Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern

Hall of Fame. That has always been a goal. When I am working out, I'm always saying never satisfied. I don't want to be satisfied until I am in the Hall of Fame.
-- Byron Cowart, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood

Be a great leader for my teammates and to be a great player on the field.
-- John Houston, Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra

I want to help my team win a national championship and hopefully get a chance to play in the NFL.
-- Hale Hentges, Jefferson City (Mo.) Helias

To be an inspiration to someone else. I want to be an asset on the field and a standup guy off it and be productive for a long time.
-- Rashaun Smith, Baltimore St. Frances

To make the NFL. I want to be able to support my family.
-- George Brown, Cincinnati Winton Woods

Which college coach do you respect the most?
Urban Meyer. I respect the way he treats his players. He's cool, very family-oriented, but he will bring the best out of you.
-- Christian Kirk, wide receiver, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro

Bobby Bowden. The achievements he had at Florida State were amazing. They have a history of winning and he is a great guy off the field.
-- Deondre Francois, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

Urban Meyer. I went up to the Nike camp at Ohio State. He was really focused with academics. He was really concerned about life after football and getting ready for the rest of your life.
-- Kendall Bussey, New Orleans Isidore Neman School

Coach Will Muschamp. I've met him a bunch of times and he is always the same. And he's a great coach.
-- Cece Jefferson, Glen St. Mary (Fla.) Baker County

Coach (Frank) Beamer from Virginia Tech. He's so consistent, straight-up and honest.
-- Devante Brooks, Washington (D.C.) St. John's College High

What's your favorite pre-game ritual?
I make sure I put all of my (football equipment) in order by my fireplace. And then our whole team eats at Matthew's Cafeteria, and I go to American Deli after that. I probably shouldn't eat that much, but I play great.
-- Jonathan Ledbetter, Tucker, Ga.

I pray right before I take the field. It is a blessing to be here and I want to thank God for the ability to play this game.
-- Dionte Mullins, Miami Gulliver Prep

Sitting down, relaxing and listening to music. I have to listen to songs and relax.
-- Rasheem Green, Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra

Making jokes. You gotta be loose. Can't be uptight and play. I'm making jokes to relax.
-- John Broussard, Phenix City, Ala.

If you had to pick today, what would you major in in college?
Like a lot of other players, Osa Masina wants to stay involved with sports when he is finished with football.
I want something to do with athletics. I want to get into sports medicine, or possibly coaching down the road.
-- Osa Masina, Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton

Pharmacy. I am good at math and chemistry.
-- Ray-Ray McCloud III

Either sports marketing or sports medicine. I would love to do either. I want to either vouch for something I love or help people do what I love to do.
-- Seth Green, Woodbury (Minn.) East Ridge

Sports management. I want to stay involved with sports and maybe go into broadcasting. I haven't taken any classes on it in high school, but that's what I want to do in college.
-- Jacob Eason, Lake Stevens, Wash.

Sports management. I want to stay in sports if I can.
-- Rashan Gary, Scotch Plains (N.J.) Scotch Plains-Fanwood

When you are not studying or playing football, what do you spend your time doing?
Getting girls.
-- Stanley Morgan, New Orleans St. Augustine

Just having a good time with my friends. I like to dance. I dance a lot and hang out.
-- Frank Buncom IV, San Diego St. Augustine

Hunting, fishing, camping. Anything to do with the outdoors. I like the peace and quiet of it.
-- Ben Cleveland, Toccoa (Ga.) Stephens County

Playing video games and hanging out with my mom and dad. When I play video games, I like Madden and NBA2K, playing with the Heat.
-- Tim Irvin, Palmetto Bay (Fla.) Westminister Christian

If you could play any sport but football, what would it be?
Trent Irwin feels basketball would be a safer option for him.
Basketball. I'm not too good at it, but it just seems like a competitive game, but a fun game. It is not as physical as football. I wouldn't get killed.
-- Trent Irwin, Newhall (Calif.) Hart

Soccer. It could make my feet quicker. Soccer is a quick game and I would love to play.
-- Stanley Norman, Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra

Basketball. I like the swag they all have. It is more of an individual game. You can take over a game. There is a lot more freelance than there is in football.
-- Cameron Smith, Granite Bay, Calif.

Basketball. I didn't play this year, but I've played it in the past. It has always been another favorite sport of mine. You can show off your athleticism and there is constant action. Very exciting to play and watch.
-- Brady White, Newhall (Calif.) Hart

Swimming, if I lost a bunch of weight. I just like being in the water and I like competing.
-- Josh Wariboko, Oklahoma City Casady
