Offensive line set
Georgia's starting offensive line for Saturday's season opener against Georgia Southern has been confirmed.
Saturday, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said that redshirt sophomore Kiante Tripp will start at left tackle, junior Vince Vance at left guard, redshirt sophomore Chris Davis at center, true freshman Cordy Glenn at right guard and redshirt sophomore Josh Davis at right tackle.
"One guy's not going to make a unit dominant, it's got to be five guys, five cohesive guys," Bobo said. "We've just got to get on the same page. We really haven't had a consistent five all camp, so that's a little bit of a concern. But when we get that five or six guys, maybe seven, which is good because we've got a lot of guys we feel confident that can play, we've just got to get them playing together."
Freshman Ben Jones, Justin Anderson and Tanner Strickland are also expected to see action. Clint Boling will return from his one-game suspension two weeks from now against Central Michigan.
Martinez hopeful safeties hold up
Georgia defensive coordinator Willie Martinez has his fingers crossed in regards to his secondary: No more injuries, please.
Bulldogs get in another strong workout
For the second straight day, head coach Mark Richt was pleased with what he saw from his Bulldogs during Saturday's workout at the team's Woodruff Practice Facility.
Martinez said no decision has been regarding Georgia's starters at defensive end, primarily because so many players have been hurt.
