As the Gators football team heads into the 2016 season, overall the group must replace nearly half of its starters on both sides of the ball from last year's squad. Among the players who will see increased roles are a bevy of third- and fourth-year contributors who are yet to have a breakout season in a Florida uniform or start the majority of the games in a single season in which they've played.

Of the 10 Gators upperclassmen looking to make a statement in 2016 that we'll examine today, eight of them are former Rivals250 prospects. Each of them have appeared in games in at least two seasons but haven't totaled more than seven combined career starts at the college level.
