Shortly after his commitment Inside the Gators caught up with the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder for him to go on record of why he flipped from Miami to Florida.
"Everything there today was great and it's a better opportunity for school and it's a better lifestyle for me up there. It's a good place and it's nice and it's the place you would want to be at."
According to the junior-to-be when he gave Florida head coach Will Muschamp and defensive back coach Travaris Robinson the good news they were very excited about this addition.
"Oh man they were more than happy," laughed Gardner. "They said they were excited with me and liked everything I did at the camp today."
During the camp Gardner spent a lot of time working with Robinson and said he enjoyed working with Florida's defensive backs coach.
"It was good getting good experience and learned a few things and just getting better everyday."
Gardner is the third commitment of the Gators 2016 recruiting class, the second cornerback.
