2021 PG breaks down recent offer from the Florida Gators
Last week, recently offered JUCO point guard El Ellis opted not to include the Gators in the top eight that he released on Friday.
Although Ellis eliminated Florida from his list of contenders, the coaching staff is still putting in the work to add a point guard to their 2021 class.
A day after Ellis' announcement, UF extended an offer to Alexandria (Va.) Episcopal High School prospect Darius Johnson.
Johnson, who has also been given the green light by Alabama and Georgetown this month, was all smiles when Florida dipped into his recruitment.
"I was happy, but I know I put the time in, so I think I earned the offer," Johnson told GatorsTerritory. "I was definitely happy to receive an offer from Florida and especially with them being in the SEC."
