4-star McRoy set to enroll at Florida

Florida-commit Javares McRoy remains solid in his commitment and is looking forward to enrolling at Florida next week.
"My commitment hasn't changed," said the four-star wide receiver from Lakeland. Urban Meyer was the coach, but I committed to Florida and that's where I want to be at."

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound McRoy is listed by Rivals as the 23rd best wide receiver in the class of 2011. McRoy was originally committed to Texas Tech but switched his commitment to Florida in June.
Ben McRoy, the older brother of Javares, is a freshman for the Red Raiders. He had two rushing touchdowns this season.
Florida's switch to a pro-style offense does not concern McRoy. "I'm straight with that," he said. "But it's pretty different from the spread position."
McRoy is set to move to Gainesville on January 4th. "I'll room with Jeff [Driskel] and Pop Saunders." McRoy was not yet sure who his fourth roommate would be.
McRoy helped lead his Lakeland team to a playoff victory over Driskel and Oviedo Hagerty. In a 56-35 loss, Driskel totaled 494 yards of offense and all five of his team's touchdowns. McRoy rushed for 63 yards in that game, but averaged more than 12 yards a carry.
"Me and Jeff talk a lot," said McRoy. "We're just ready to get up there and suit up."
Florida fans are certainly just as excited.
