Analyzing Florida's 2017 offensive depth chart with spring in the books

The rundown at quarterback: Although Florida entered the spring with just three quarterbacks - Franks, Trask and Toney - with Del Rio sidelined with shoulder injuries, essentially it was a two-man race this spring between Franks and Trask while Toney was utilized more in a Wildcat-esque package. The biggest storyline to draw from this group was how a much more calm and collected Franks, as compared to a year ago, gained separation against Trask in the battle. Now, Franks should enter fall camp now as the favorite to win the job, barring any unforeseen changes.

Biggest questions moving forward: There are a number of them at the quarterback position, but one of the most considerable is where Del Rio will stand in the race entering the fall. He's currently Florida's most experienced signal-caller, having started six games last year, and a knee injury and two shoulder injuries are legitimate reasons as to why Del Rio struggled in his final three appearances. Although he made some nice plays in his first three starts, Del Rio was still somewhat inconsistent in those contests - and it can be argued that he doesn't have nearly the potential of a Franks or Trask.

When he returns, could Del Rio challenge Franks for the starting job? Or at least Trask for the backup role?

The Toney experiment at quarterback will also be worth keeping tabs on, especially after a spring game where he turned plenty of heads with his dynamic playmaking ability. If Florida continues to develop a package for Toney at quarterback, how prominently would it be used in 2017?
