The options appear to be to either cancel the game altogether or play it on Saturday Oct. 25, the only bye week the two teams have in common this season.
On Sunday Florida football spokesman Steve McClain sent out the following email to media covering the team:
"There will be no decision regarding the status of the Florida-Idaho game made today (Sunday) and we will know more in the next two or three days."
Not long afterward Florida athletics director Jermey Foley emailed supporters:
"Because there are many issues that must be resolved, there will be no decision regarding the status of the Florida-Idaho game made today (Sunday), but we anticipate knowing more in the next two or three days. We will share any updates when they become available.
"Coach Muschamp stated last night his appreciation for the energy and passion of the Gator fans at the game and for the most enthusiastic Gator Walk in his tenure from the best fans in the country.
"We couldn't agree more with his remarks. Thanks for all that you do for Gator Athletics and we will update you when we have more information."
