1. DAKORIEN MOORE, Oregon
Can Oregon have an even more electric, more dominant receiver than Tez Johnson, who torched Penn State in the Big Ten Championship and who has 78 catches for 866 yards and 10 touchdowns so far this season?
The answer is yes. Moore is bigger and without question the best receiver in the 2025 class and probably would have been a five-star in the 2024 group if he came out last year.
What makes Moore so special is that he’s great at everything from the receiver position whether it’s speed, route-running ability and he makes impossible catches all the time. With all those characteristics and then throwing in excellent hands, Moore should be a perfect fit in Oregon’s offense and it’s why he was so coveted by LSU, Texas and everyone else.
2. JAIME FFRENCH, Texas
In the 2019 recruiting class, Texas missed out on high four-star receiver Garrett Wilson, who picked Ohio State over the Longhorns. Now in the 2024 class, Texas landed Ffrench, who has a very similar style to Wilson: smooth, effortless, gliding past defenders and then catching everything with the stickiest hands in the class.
Ffrench did not put together a massive senior season at Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin but he was also without four-star QB Tramell Jones to throw him the ball. But at the Rivals Five-Star or numerous other events, Ffrench has shown he can take over when he wants to and he’s a very reliable option for any quarterback.
Ffrench is not making any All-Lobby team, he doesn’t look like DK Metcalf but he’s smooth as silk in his route running and in coach Steve Sarkisian’s offense a Garrett Wilson clone is a great weapon to have.
3. CALEB CUNNINGHAM, Ole Miss
One of the biggest flips leading up to National Signing Day came from Cunningham as the Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County standout flipped from Alabama to Ole Miss, giving coach Lane Kiffin another massive weapon in the Rebels’ arsenal.
Cunningham is an intriguing prospect with five-star potential but there are also some questions since he never attended a single national event in his high school career and isn’t participating in the Alabama-Mississippi Game this week because of injury.
But his film is incredible. He gets off the line so fast, he has elite playmaking skills and Kiffin made him a top flip priority down the stretch. Living just 30 minutes from Mississippi State, it looked like location could play a big factor but he committed to Alabama and stuck with it until a couple late visits to Ole Miss convinced him to flip.
“He could be huge,” Cunningham said. “That was really big. He’s a great player that at one point looked like he was leaving the state and we got him back. Great kid, great family and a position of need losing so much there so we have very high expectations for him.”
4. JEROME MYLES, Texas A&M
Texas A&M needs help at the wide receiver position and the Aggies are using high school recruiting and the portal to get there. Landing Myles should be a huge addition for many reasons.
The Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon standout torched Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy’s secondary numerous times in a big win early this season and he has the speed, physical presence and playmaking ability to shine in the SEC. His teammate, 2026 four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga, is committed to the Aggies, too, so this is kind of like a two-for-one situation.
Myles was a long-time USC commitment but shortly before signing day he backed off his pledge and it seemed like he might wait past last Wednesday to make a decision. But Texas A&M convinced him to sign and it was a big deal, and a big boost to the receiver room.
5. VERNELL BROWN III, Florida
Kadarius Toney might be the best comp for Brown but he only had one breakout season with the Gators where Brown has the potential to come in and be a dynamic threat in the passing game from Day 1 especially with DJ Lagway firmly as Florida’s starting quarterback.
Brown is not the biggest guy in the world but he is fast, shifty, athletic and has a playmaker’s mentality so getting him the ball in a variety of ways will be crucial for the Gators’ success.
With 89 catches for 1,405 yards and 11 touchdowns this season (and basically splitting catches with 2026 standout Larry Miles), Brown has proven to be one of the best receivers in the class and someone Florida definitely needed to keep pressure on defenses down the field.
