Earlier this month Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage wide receiver Anthony Schwartz told Rivals that he was close to making a decision out of his top five, which then consisted of Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee.
However, the four-star now tells Inside the Gators that his plans have changed and it's now a three-team race.
Schwartz gives an update on his recruiting process, a visit this weekend with a teammate, his status with Florida, and other schools in the mix.
RECRUITING PROCESS AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW: "I'm getting down to a top two, but I decided to push my commitment off a little until I'm sure in my decision."
SCHOOLS UNDER CONSIDERATION: "Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee."
WEEKEND VISIT TO FLORIDA: "I'm looking towards the experience because that will by my first time watching a game in the swamp. I'll be there with (teammate) Patrick Surtain."
ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GATORS' STAFF: "I like how the Florida staff always makes me feel welcomed and they always try to communicate with me. I talk to Coach Shannon the most and he loves my speed and that I can actually use it correctly. He also says he likes my hips."
POTENTIAL FLY IN THE OINTMENT IS HOW THE GATORS LOOKED AGAINST MICHIGAN: "It concerns me because Florida's offense has been struggling for a while now, but I think they will turn it around soon."
OTHER VISITS THIS FALL: "I'm probably going to Ole Miss vs. Auburn on October 7th."
ITG BOTTOM LINE: Florida has been thought to be the leader, not just because of whispers and rumors, but because he has come straight out and said so, for months now. He was scheduled to make his announcement, in which Florida was sure to have picked up his commitment. What does it mean now that he wants to wait it out a little longer and how much does Florida's offensive ineptitude in the opening loss to Michigan worry him?
