Inside the Gators delivers Five Fast Thoughts about Saturday’s contest in The Swamp.
1. Florida is officially a run-first offense: For the second straight week, Florida ran the ball at an approximately 2:1 ration (38 runs to 16 passes). Even when down two possessions, the Gators ran heavily on the run. The ground game was strong, with freshman Malik Davis, sophomore Lamical Perine and freshman Kadarius Toney all averaged more than 5.8 yards per carry. Even with sacks of freshman quarterback Feleipe Franks factored into the net yards, Florida averaged 5.1 yards per carry as a team.
