1. Embarrassment all around: It’s one thing to get blown out by a Georgia team now ranked No. 1 and on its way to the College Football Playoff. It’s another to get blown out by a Missouri team that entered the game without an SEC victory.
Interim head coach Randy Shannon talked all week about coming out and playing with energy and enthusiasm. The Gators, at least the majority of them, looked like they had no interest in playing Saturday’s game. Whether it was a hangover effect from the UGA loss or the coaching change, the Gators showed no fire.
Florida’s defense looked like a second-team defense in a spring game going up against a first-team offense as Missouri moved up and down the field with ease on seemingly every possession.
