Florida a finalist for five-star forward

Florida was among twelve schools to make the cut for Findlay Prep (NV) five-star 2017 power forward P.J. Washington Tuesday night.

The Gators were included on Washington's list along with Oregon, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgetown, Texas, Michigan State, California, North Carolina State, Kentucky, Wake Forest and UCLA per his Twitter account:

The 6-foot-7, 225-pounder, who is ranked as the No. 23 prospect in the Rivals150, is averaging 19.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals per game for Team Penny in the Nike EYBL circuit thus far this travel season.

Florida has some work to do with Washington, however. The Dallas native told Krysten Peek of Rivals.com that he plans on taking official visits to North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, and Arizona.
