After pulling the trigger and committing to the University of Georgia this past July, Hialeah Gardens (Fla.) Mater Academy cornerback Latavious Brini recently decided to back off that verbal pledge. According to Brini, he felt he rushed into a commitment after talking things over with his family.

“I just talked to my mom and my uncle and they were telling me not to rush into anything,” explained Brini. “So I decided to open up my recruiting process.”

Since his decommitment last week schools such as Miami, FAU, UCF, Oklahoma, Florida, TCU, Michigan, Michigan State, and West Virginia have been in contact. The Gators pursuit isn’t anything new considering they have been in touch with the three-star defender before and during his time as a Georgia commitment.
