Florida extended its latest offer for the class of 2018 when Manchester (Tenn.) Coffee County Central athlete Alontae Taylor got in touch with the coaching staff. According to Taylor the offer came after his trainer, who is a former Gator, spoke with the Florida staff.

“I was training with my trainer Lorenzo Spikes and I got a [social media] follow from Drew Hughes and I reached out to him and let them have my number and email for down the road if they need to show me some love,” explained Taylor. “I talked with Lorenzo after because he is an alumnus from Florida and he told me how he is close with the coaches. Next thing I know I got a call from Lorenzo later in the day saying he talked with Florida and they liked me and wanted to offer me a scholarship.”
