Offers have been rolling in for well over a year now for Marquez Ezzard. Over 20 schools have offered the 6-foot-1, 195 pound wide receiver out of Stockbridge (Ga.) and he, for the first time is ready to cut his list down and name favorites.

The four star thought about naming a top 10, but he was able to cut it down to eight. He speaks on each of his favorites.

AUBURN: "They have been recruiting me since I was a freshman. I have a great relationship with coach [Kodi] Burns (wide receivers) and I like their offense."

FLORIDA: "The Florida coaches are telling me that they like me and that I can come in and play right away if I come there. I am hoping to play early, so that is big to me. I have not visited there yet, so I hope to get there soon."

FLORIDA STATE: "Florida State has a lot of tradition and history. They also are known for putting guys into the NFL and they have produced some top receivers."

GEORGIA: "I have been there a lot and they always make feel comfortable. Me and my family like it there. I have a good bond with the players and coaches there."

OHIO STATE: "Ohio State is a top program and now my teammate Brenton Cox is going there, so it would be nice to play with him again. They win a lot, they put guys into the NFL and they always have a great offense."

OLE MISS: "Ole Miss is one of the schools who have been recruiting me the longest. They recruit me harder and harder and they are always showing me attention. They have multiple coaches recruiting me, so that is nice too."

SOUTH CAROLINA: "I have known coach [Bryan] McClendon (wide receivers) since he was at Georgia, so we have a great bond. They have nice facilities and the coaches and players were great when I visited."

USC: "I have been talking more and more with coach [Tee] Martin (wide receivers) and they have been showing me a lot of interest. They have great tradition there and I really want to get out to California to check them out."

Not that Ezzard is down to eight schools, what is next? He does not plan to commit any time soon.

"I will probably cut my list again to four or five schools right before the season, then I am planning to commit somewhere in the middle of the season," said Ezzard. "I am definitely going to take my official visits before I commit. I will get out some in the summer, then more to games during the season."

Ezzard does not care about location, he is willing to go anywhere in the country if it fits him. He wants to feel comfortable with the players and coaches, he wants to play early and that is what will be the most important factors for him when he makes his decision.
