Florida was never really a factor before Dan Mullen and Company took over in Gainesville, but since then, it has been more of a matter of when, not if, the Gators were going to land Clermont (Fla.) East Ridge four-star athlete Justin Watkins.
As was stated in Inside the GatorsWeekend Visitor Preview, the only real question at this time was whether he would make his decision immediately after his weekend official visit to Florida or go ahead and wait until Signing Day.
He did neither.
Opting instead to release his commitment via Twitter while still on campus for his official visit.
