Florida Offers 2020 Wing Samson Ruzhentsev

Samson Ruzhentsev announced via Twitter Friday night that he has received an offer from Florida.

A 6-foot-6, 182-pound wing, Ruzhentsev averaged 5.9 points, and 2.7 rebounds last season for Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, TN), while shooting 49.6 percent from the field, including 39 percent beyond the arc. Ruzhentsev is teammates with 2019 big man target Jason Jitoboh who has an official visit scheduled to Gainesville for October 5.

“Florida loves Sam's size at the Wing,” said Hamilton Heights head coach Zach Ferrell. “Combined with his ability to shoot it from the outside, his athleticism and work ethic to get better. “Coach Mike (White) gave him the offer in person. Every (UF) coach has seen him the past two weeks as they have been up here recruiting Jason.”

Ruzhentsev, a native of Russia, also holds offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech and Illinois with interest coming from Arizona State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and UCF.
