Not even a week after UF officially announced the addition Monday at the start of the Summer B semester, Florida offensive tackle Jake Fruhmorgen will leave the program, Inside the Gators can confirm.

The Clemson offensive tackle transfer was officially added to the roster on Monday. He would have had to sit out for the 2017 season per NCAA transfer rules.

Fruhmorgen, a former Tampa Plant High School standout and Rivals100 member in the 2015 class, left the Tigers midseason as a sophomore after starting eight games due to undisclosed reasons and then made his decision to transfer to UF last March.

The addition of Fruhmorgen had helped Florida address its long-term depth at offensive tackle, with Martez Ivey potentially headed to the pros following his junior season.

Now down the road, the Gators will have to look to the recruiting trail and perhaps the transfer market to address its need for more contributors at that position for 2018 and beyond.
