The Gators just received yet another boost in the secondary to close out the weekend, as Rivals250 cornerback Jordan Young pulled himself off the market by verbally committing to Dan Mullen's staff.

A product of Tampa (Fla.) Gaither, Young was offered last summer after camping in Gainesville and lives in a household full of UF fans. In addition to lacing up the cleats, Young was a spectator at Friday Night Lights and attended the junior day on Feb. 1 as well. He also took part in a virtual visit roughly a month ago.

The likes of Alabama, Georgia, Miami, FSU, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech previously offered as well, but joining forces with the childhood favorite college was an opportunity Young simply couldn't pass up.

"That's my dream school and it meant a lot to me," Young previously told GatorsTerritory. "They are DBU out there and I grew up a Florida fan. My dad is a die-hard Florida fan, so it's always been my dream school and it's all I knew."

By camping last summer, Young was able to get a taste of Torrian Gray's coaching style and what's expected of those who strap up the pads in Gainesville. UF's cornerbacks coach is also his go-to contact and has stopped by Young's high school multiple times over the past year, so that relationship is continuing to strengthen by the week.

Dan Mullen's staff has now reeled in a trio of defensive backs over the past 72 hours. Winter Park's Dakota Mitchell joined the class on Thursday, while Kamar Wilcoxson flipped from Tennessee roughly 24 hours later. Young is the 20th commitment in the Gators' 2021 recruiting class.

Young, who also becomes the 11th four-star prospect in the class, checks in as the 12th-ranked cornerback and 156th-ranked prospect overall. He is labeled as the 22nd-ranked prospect in the Sunshine State as well.

Florida fans, you can get accustomed to Young's style of play by viewing his junior highlights below.
