Gators showing interest in 2014 four-star corner

This past Friday night Seffner (Fla.) Armwood saw their 2012 football season come to an end when they lost 42-10 to Gainesville (Fla.) in the regional finals round of the Florida high school football playoffs.
Despite the loss, Armwood 2014 cornerback Kyle Gibson had a solid outing coming up for a few big hits and making plays for a Hawks' defense that otherwise, did not have a good night.

Even though the loss is fresh in Gibson's mind, he said he is already looking ahead to next season.
"I believe we will be much better next year," stated Gibson. "We have a lot of young guys that got experience this season."
Coming from a high school like Armwood it's not uncommon to have college coaches on campus. According to Gibson one of the latest schools to show interest has been the Florida Gators.
"Coach [Derek] Lewis cam by my school," explained Gibson. "They invited me to a couple of games this season. I went to the LSU and South Carolina games. The games were a really good atmosphere. I really liked it."
The 2014 Rvials250 Watch List member also noted having prior knowledge of the Gators.
"I know a lot about the school being from Florida and a couple of our players from Armwood are playing there now (Matt Jones) or committed to them like Alvin [Bailey]."
The 6-foot, 180-pound corner said the Gators have not been the only schools he's heard from.
"I've talked to Notre Dame, UCF, UCLA, and Vanderbilt. Mostly Notre Dame and Vandy though."
The Commodores and the Golden Knights are the only two schools so far to extend offers to the four star-rated prospect.
While Gibson has no leaders at this point, he noted a school that if offered would immediately stick out.
"One of my favorite schools growing up was Florida State, but they haven't showed serious interest yet. That would be a big offer."
