Inside the Gators was on deck for the open portion at the start of Wednesday’s spring practice, which consisted of a flex period, an 11-on-11 fastball period, independent period, and two more periods. Below are observations of what we were able to catch from the action.

--During the SEC Network’s broadcast of Florida’s Pro Day on Tuesday inside of the indoor practice facility, Florida head coach Jim McElwain said there was a little separation in the quarterback battle but didn’t touch on any leaders, while adding that it still remains a close battle. That’s become apparent during recent spring practices, as quarterback Feleipe Franks continues to work with the first-team offense in 11-on-11 fastball while Kyle Trask is with the 2’s.
