The summer A semester kicked off Monday for Florida students, and 2015 three-star offensive lineman signee Tyler Jordan enrolled early to get a head start on getting situated in Gainesville and preparing for the upcoming football season.
Before his classes began Monday, Jordan - a former Jacksonville, (Fla.) Bishop Kenny High School standout - caught up with Inside the Gators as we kick off our "Getting to Know" series for the incoming freshmen.
What made you want to attend the University of Florida?
Jordan: Really just the feel of the school and being close to home. It's only an hour and 30 minutes away. I had a good relationship with Coach Muschamp first and still Coach Summers, but once I met Coach Mac I felt like I built a good relationship with him and I was confident in his plan. And Summers is still there, too.
What would you say is your greatest strength as a football player?
Jordan: Everything's out on film and my highlights - I'm an aggressive player. I'm going to play until the whistle and won't give up on blocks.

Jordan: First off, what I want to polish up is me being in shape. I want to be in shape, I want to be stronger, and I want to get down the plays.
How do the coaches envision your role on the team moving forward? Do you expect to play more center or guard?
Jordan: They want me to play center. They want to me to be able to know what it's like to really play there.

Jordan: I'd probably block for Todd Gurley.
Which NFL team is your favorite?
