Florida landed a huge commitment on Friday when Princeton (N.J.) Hun School Rivals250 defensive tackle Fred Hansard picked the Gators over finalists Rutgers and Tennessee.

The Commitment: Florida has been recruiting Hansard hard for quite some time now. However, it wasn’t until the spring evaluation period when the Gators started to become a major player. With the staff sending coaches out twice to see Hansard, mixed with the pedigree of defensive tackles the Gators have had over the years it was enough to push Hansard and family to make a trip to Gainesville. Coming off his Friday Night Lights visit all signs pointed to the four-star picking the Orange and Blue.
