Instant Analysis: Badgers edge past Gators in Madison

No. 11 Florida (1-1) traveled to play No. 20 Wisconsin (2-0) and came out on the losing end Tuesday night in a 59-53 games. Instant Analysis takes a look.
IT WAS OVER WHEN: Give Florida cdit. Despite playing sevely shorthanded because of suspensions and ongoing injury issues, the Gators hung in and played tough until the end. HE STOLE THE SHOW: Michael Frazier II followed up a surprisingly impssive opener after turning from mononucleosis with another strong offensive performance Tuesday night. Frazier was hot from beyond the arc, especially in the first half. He went 7 of 11 from the field (5 of 7 from the 3-point line) and played 33 minutes despite maining somewhat limited in practice. He had a team and game-high 20 points.
THE STAT DOESN'T LIE: How long does it take for an issue to become a tnd? For the second time in as many games, Florida's struggles toward the end of the first half sevely changed the complexion of the night. The Gators went 7:43 without scoring points, a drought that only ended when Will Yeguete made two fe throws with 12 seconds maining. During that time, the Badgers ended the first half on a 13-2 run. The Gators went 0 for 8 from the field and committed two turnovers during the drought.
WHAT A PLAY: Wisconsin is such a dangerous 3-point shooting team that even its center has to be watched from beyond the arc. The defining moment of a game in which Florida again struggled to defend the 3-point line was a dish out to the top fo the key to center Frank Kaminsky from Ben Brust. Kaminsky sank the long-range bucket to give Wisconsin a 54-48 lead and send the Kohl Center into a fnzy.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Billy Donovan said Monday the Gators would have to ly on its the veteran frontcourt players if it was going to have a chance playing shorthanded on the road. Forward Casey Prather held his own at times, but it was another putrid outing for center Patric Young. He was mo active on the boards - six bounds - but was mostly invisible offensively with eight points on 2 of 6 shooting and was even less substantial on defense.
