Despite a poor start defensively, No. 15 Florida (21-5, 11-2 SEC) was sharp from the field for much of Tuesday night’s contest, as it pulled away from Auburn (16-10, 5-8 SEC) in the second half to earn a 114-95 victory at Auburn Arena thanks to graduate transfer guard Canyon Barry's 30 points. It's the second time this season the Gators have reached the 100-point scoring mark, and 114 points is Florida's highest single-game total in 2016-17.

Florida has now won its past seven straight games by an average of 24 points, and the Gators are winners of 14 of their past 16 contests.

Instant Analysis now takes a closer look at Florida’s road victory.

IT WAS OVER WHEN: After both teams were tied up at 50-50 at halftime, Florida jumped out to a quick 6-0 run in the first 64 seconds of action of the second half after layups by Barry and point guard Kasey Hill, and then a dunk from Kevarrius Hayes. That run soon increased to 11-2 over 2:17, and the Gators eventually saw their lead balloon to double digits. Florida led by double figures throughout the final 12:54 of action and kept Auburn at bay down the stretch.

THEY STOLE THE SHOW: Although his program record streak of made free throws ended at 42 on Tuesday, Barry was sharp against the Tigers. He led the way for the Gators with 3o points - a season best and just one shy of his career high - on 8-of-17 shooting (11 of 12 from the free throw line), including 19 points in the first half alone – more than any other player finished with by game’s end.

KeVaughn Allen finished with 17 points on 3-of-4 shooting (and 9-of-10 free-throw shooting) and Devin Robinson bounced back from a subpar week to finish with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting (3-of-5 from downtown) to go along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hill finished with a double-double of 11 points and 12 assists (a season-best). Hill is now third all-time in program history in assists (502) after logging 12 tonight. He needs just two more to move ahead of Ronnie Montgomery (503) for second most, and 46 more to take first over Erving Walker (547).

EGBUNU GOES DOWN: Midway during the first half, starting center John Egbunu landed awkwardly and appeared to tweak his left knee coming down. After being looked at on the court, Egbunu needed the assistance of head coach Mike White and trainer Duke Werner to head to the locker room. Egbunu did not return to the contest and his status moving forward is currently unclear. Egbunu had 10 points and four rebounds before suffering his injury at the 9:44 mark.

THESE STATS DON'T LIE: Florida shot 55.9% from the field and 57.9% from downtown (11-of-19), while making 33 shots on 18 assists. Auburn went 42.5% from the field and just 28.6% from behind the arc.

Although Auburn outscored Florida in the paint 50-34 and out-rebounded them 35-34, the Gators outscored the Tigers on three-point baskets 33-18. Florida also went 88.1% (37-of-42) from the charity stripe, while Auburn hit just 69.2% (27-of-39) of its free throw attempts.

WHAT A PLAY: Kasey Hill and Devin Robinson made their way onto the highlight reel late in the first half on an impressive alley-oop connection. Using a pick from Keith Stone, Hill drove past an Auburn defender and then lofted up the ball high to Robinson, who ran down the baseline, lifted up to reach Hill’s no-look pass and then threw down the two-handed slam. The dunk tied the game up at 50-50 with 46 seconds left before halftime.

THE BOTTOM LINE: This was one of the Gators’ most impressive offensive performances all season in what was a fast-paced matchup against an up-tempo Auburn team. Defensively, that was not the case – especially in the first half where Auburn scored 50 points behind 13-of-17 free throw shooting, as the Tigers got to the line frequently, and a 5-of-11 clip from downtown. For Mike White, it has to be an encouraging sign to see the majority of the team clicking offensively at the same time – and that Barry could be called upon as a go-to scorer for this squad. As far as Egbunu’s knee injury, the team – and the fan base - will keep their fingers crossed.

NEXT UP: No. 15 Florida will travel to Starkville to face Mississippi State on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET in a matchup that will air on ESPN. Following that contest is a crucial two-game stretch, as the Gators will host No. 21 South Carolina next Tuesday night and then square off against No. 13 Kentucky in Lexington on Feb. 25. Florida (11-2 SEC), Kentucky (11-2 SEC) and South Carolina (10-2 SEC) are the top three teams currently in the SEC standings.
