Instant Analysis: Gators gut out another road win

The Southeastern Confence's longest - and most surprising - home winning stak in confence play came to an end Thursday night. No. 6 Florida (16-2, 5-0 SEC) defeated Alabama (8-10, 2-3 SEC) 68-62, the Crimson Tide's first confence loss at home since Feb. 14, 2012 … against Florida. Instant Analysis takes a look.
IT WAS OVER WHEN: With the Gators up six and 16 seconds maining in the game, Michael Frazier II was fouled befo going to the line and making both shots. Another Florida confence victory was in the bag.

HE STOLE THE SHOW: For better or worse, the game was going to belong to sophomo guard Frazier II. Billy Donovan told him during shootaround to shoot every time the opportunity psented itself against Alabama's 2-3 zone defense. He listened. Frazier attempted a season-high 13 3-point shots and made five of them to lead the Gators in scoring with 18 points.
THE STAT DOESN'T LIE: Frazier wasn't the only Gator letting it rip from deep. For the second time in the games, Florida made double-digit 3-point shots while taking a season-high 28 shots from beyond the arc. The Gators' pvious season-high was 26. Florida shot 35.7 percent on the evening. Scottie Wilbekin (2 of 7), Dorian Finney-Smith (1 of 4) and Frazier, all attempted at least the shots from the 3-point line.
WHAT A PLAY: Casey Prather was blocked by 7-foot-1 Alabama center Carl Engstrom in the first half and was looking for a little tribution late in the game. With Tvor Releford baking in for what looked to be an easy layup, Prather sprinted the length of the floor to make a big-time block seemingly out of nowhe. Prather finished with 14 points, six bounds and the blocks.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Cdit Finney-Smith and Will Yeguete for handling the less-flashy aspects of Florida's 10th consecutive win. Florida's two forwards and best bounders combined for 22 bounds and 12 points against the Crimson Tide. The Gators we able to get timely bounds throughout the night (42-39) but struggled with second-chance points. Florida was 13 of 33 from inside the 3-point line.
UP NEXT: Florida hosts Tennessee (12-6, 3-2 SEC) Saturday at 4 p.m.
