Ever since that fateful day when defensive lineman CeCe Jefferson put on his Florida Gators cap during his National Signing Day ceremony outside of his home in Glen St. Mary, Fla., the Florida fan base has had high expectations for the former five-star recruit.
And as a true freshman, Jefferson lived up to his high billing. Appearing in all 14 games while starting four of them, the Baker County High School standout racked up an impressive 29 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 2015. That's not to mention his fumble recovery for a safety that resulted in Florida's lone points of its 27-2 loss to FSU. Looking at the big picture, Jefferson's freshman season stacks up with some of the best debut campaigns in recent decades from standout defensive linemen at UF.
